White Noise - Dead & Alive Demo

This is pre-Beyond Possession and you can tell as soon as you here it. Apparently they had to change their name for legal reasons. The sound quality of this is quite good and a few of the tracks show up on later releases.

Infamous Scientists - Noise 'n' Rythm 7" EP

The first EP from Andy Kerr's Infamous Scientists. This one's a little more poppy sounding than the Trouble EP but still worth a listen. Again, there where only 500 issued.

Youth Youth Youth - Demo 82

Another Demo, this time from YYY. As I have stated in the YYY-Sin post, this band is one of my all time favs. The quality of this is pretty good and it's really nice to hear some other songs from them.

Entirely Distorted - What Gives? Demo

Here's a special treat for you, the demo tape for Entirely Distorted from Edmonton. I haven't seen this posted anywhere else so enjoy. I have a copy but don't have access so a huge thanks to DaveGeek for uploading it! This comes with no track listing so if anyone has this info please leave a comment or email me. This was another one with sound quality issues so I cleaned it up the best I could.

Infamous Scientists - Trouble 12" EP

Pre-NoMeansNo with Andy Kerr and John Wright, produced by Rob Wright. I have been looking for this for some time and just found it on the net a few days ago. Good luck getting it on vinyl as only 500 were made.

NoMeansNo - Wrong

Originally from Victoria and now Vancouver, NoMeansNo is one of my all time favourite bands. I've seen them play countless times and have heard all of their music and in my opinion Wrong is the best NoMeansNo album ever! This is the first CD reissue with 2 bonus tracks.

Bunchofuckingoofs - There's No Solution So There's No Problem 2 x 7" EP

The infamous BFG. A bunch of hardcore, crazy party animals from Toronto. This is their first release and was two 7" EP's. The sound quality of this was quite brutal and was really hard to clean up, so if it's not the greatest just be thankful you didn't have to hear it before.

Superconductor - S/T 7"

Superconductors first 7" with Murderlizer and The Most Popular Man In The World. This one was really hard to get but worth it. Murderlizer is missing a few seconds from the beginning, sorry!

D.O.A. - Right To Be Wild 7"

Pressed  on their own label as an instant response to the arrest of the Squamish 5 (which included Subhumans' bassist Gerry Hannah) for terrorism. Side B is a cover of Subhumans Fuck You. I remember sitting in my friend Jerry's basement and someone brought this and we listened to it over and over.

The Discords - S/T 7"

The Discords from Montreal were apparently a bunch of anglophone juvenile delinquents, some of them with fairly lengthy police records. They were called by some as undoubtedly the toughest Canadian punk band ever. This is a really nice 7" with kind of a punk/Oi sound.

D.O.A. - Something Better Change

What would Canadian Punk be without pioneers D.O.A. This is their first LP Something Better Change. I must have seen these guys at least 10 times and loved every show. This and many more D.O.A. albums are available on CD and Vinyl at Sudden Death Records and probably your local music shop so please buy it.

Hype - Life Is Hard ThenYou Die

Hype were from Ontario. I saw them play with a local band named Ratschlag opening for them. Don't remember much of the show but the album is a decent listen.

Some Wierd Sin - S/T

Some Wierd Sin from Winnipeg. Good hardcore but the singer doesn't really do it for me. Never got to see them play.

GUS - The Progressive Science Of Breeding Idiots For A Dumber Society

Another 90's band from Vancouver or maybe Victoria with Ken Jensen of Red Tide and D.O.A. Reminds me of a louder, harder, noisier No Means No.

Superconductor - Hit Songs For Girls

I discovered this band during my search for punk vinyl in Vancouver in the 90's. I listened to this CD and liked it immediately, bought it, then got the 7" EP listed below. Definitely a must have even if it's not 80's punk.

Boner Records, 1993

Superconductor - Heavy With Puppy 7" EP

Superconductor from Vancouver, they're not from the 80's and maybe not even punk but a great band none the less. With 2 bass players and up to 7 guitars at times, they play melodic noise rock.
